The title of a recently released Yahoo! article is “Congress OKs cliff deal, signaling FUTURE FIGHTS” (Web-site/URL: http://news.yahoo.com/congress-oks-cliff-deal-signaling-future-fights-080422547–finance.html).
Speaking “at the White House before flying to Hawaii to resume his holiday break”, President Obama said: “A central promise of my campaign for president was to change the tax code that was too skewed towards THE WEALTHY at the expense of WORKING MIDDLE-CLASS Americans. Tonight (January 2, 2013), WE’VE DONE THAT“. Once again, we see the contrast of “the wealthy” vs. “working middle-class Americans”.
According to Rep. Rich Nugent, speaking “of the quandary Republicans faced”, “You can be right and you can be DEAD right. Which is it? Right now, you need to take the tax issue off the table” and move on to a focus on CURBING SPENDING“, the other obsession for the GOP and HOUSEWIVES who are obsessed with the CHEAP vs. EXPENSIVE problem (like HELEN HUANG who thinks that she can do real estate management/manage properties despite never taking a property management course in her life). On top of all this, notice “dead right” as opposed to “right”. Politically “dead right” might EARN SOMEONE A LOT OF MONEY (e.g. LARRY SABATO predicting elections with his “Crystal Ball” model). In real life however, being “dead right” about someone may imply STALKING. For those of us who have taken some communication courses, perhaps we’re familiar with the Johari Window. If we get the HIDDEN & BLIND areas mixed up, the consequences could be DISASTROUS. For example, LILY FU asked HER PARENTS to go on her honeymoon. If Fu does what KATE MIDDLETON did (take off her shirt while her parents or other CHINESE people are watching), we will surely another nasty confrontation. We have to wonder why Chinese culture involves telling us things that we’ve heard a million times, things that WE HAVE NO INTEREST IN or things that WE HAVE NO INTEREST IN BECAUSE WE’VE HEARD THEM A MILLION TIMES.
“Boehner voted FOR the bill, an unusual step because speakers seldom vote and he was joined by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., the GOP’s vice presidential candidate last fall”. “Voting “no” were the other two top GOP leaders, Reps. Eric Cantor of Virginia (House Majority Leader) and Kevin McCarthy of California (House Majority Whip)”.
“Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas COMPLAINED: “I’m EMBARRASSED for this generation. FUTURE GENERATIONS DESERVE BETTER“, as if GOHMERT is doing anything for “future generations”.
“in a written statement after the vote”, Boehner said: “Now the focus turns to SPENDING“ and OVERHAULING the tax code, He said the GOP will fight for “SIGNIFICANT spending cuts and reforms to the entitlement programs that are driving our country DEEPER AND DEEPER into DEBT“, a reference to COSTLY benefit programs like Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid”. There are FIVE things to note here. First, notice “spending”. This is the first thing in this passage that CHINESE HOUSEWIVES could have said/often SCREAM and RANT about. Secondly, the GOP want to “overhaul the tax code” in favor of THE RICH/WEALTHY. Thirdly, how “significant” is “significant?” Again, this is open to INTERPRETATIONS (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgnAY_eXYbI).On top of all this, CHINESE HOUSEWIVES also scream about “debt” and “costly”.,
According to CONSERVATIVE Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn, speaking on CNN on Wednesday (January 2, 2013)”, “Spending cuts are “going to be a component of EVERY SINGLE battle we have” in the new Congress” (2013-’15)”. Republicans are simply OBSESSED WITH “spending cuts”. Also, most Tennessee representatives are “conservative”, with 7 REPUBLICANS and only 2 DEMOCRATS.
“Obama, in his White House remarks, said that WHILE he was open to compromise, he would DEMAND deficit-cutting savings from added revenue on THE WELL-OFF, NOT JUST spending cuts”, which is what the GOP is obsessed with. Also, BOTH SIDES are “demanding”, a fundamental characteristic of “Difficult People” (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgnAY_eXYbI).
“He also pointedly said he would “not have another debate with this Congress” over extending the federal borrowing limit”. Unfortunately for Obama, THE NEXT “Congress” WILL BE JUST AS PARTISAN as “this Congress” because many of the same characters from “this Congress” return.
“If Congress refuses to give the United States government the ability to pay these bills on time, the consequences for THE ENTIRE GLOBAL ECONOMY would be CATASTROPHIC — FAR WORSE than the impact of a fiscal cliff”. This is the latest example of the President resorting to/using/employing SCARE TACTICS.
Finally, “Weighing in with criticism of the compromise were the chief authors of an influential bipartisan deficit-cutting proposal, former GOP Sen. Alan Simpson and Democrat Erskine Bowles, a former White House chief of staff under President Bill Clinton. They called the measure “TRULY A MISSED OPPORTUNITY to do something BIG to reduce our LONG-TERM fiscal problems”. So Simpson and Bowles are suggesting that U.S. “fiscal problems” will be “long-term” or CHRONIC? WOW, THAT’S A NEGATIVE ASSESSMENT.
This is yet another article where the conclusion is easy. POLITICIANS will always have PLENTY OF issues to “fight” about/over.
