A POTENTIAL NORTH KOREAN Nuclear Test: SOUTH KOREA On Edge (Yahoo!)

The title of a recently released Yahoo! article is “SKorea Prepares for POSSIBLE NKorea Missile Test Launch” (Web-site/URL: http://gma.yahoo.com/skorea-prepares-possible-nkorea-missile-test-launch-130704466–abc-news-topstories.html).

“While North Korea ISN’T backing away from threats of nuclear war (obviously), neighboring countries are taking precautionary measures for a POSSIBLE missile test launch“.

“South Korea’s presidential office told reporters Sunday (April 7, 2013) that they take Pyongyang’s surprise warning to foreign embassies and international organizations there to EVACUATE BEFORE April 10 as a sign that North Korea MAY test-fire its missile that day”.

According to Kim Jang-Soo, “chief of the National Security Office, (speaking) during a meeting at the presidential office, according to spokeswoman Kim Haing”, “We’re THOROUGHLY preparing for this, LEAVING ALL POSSIBILITIES OPEN“. This makes perfect sense since South Korea is CLOSEST TO North KoreaAlso “leave all possibilities open”including WAR?

“On Saturday (April 6 2013), a pro-North Korean website ran a two-minute video depicting a military attack on the White House and South Korea’s president office “.

“The film was making a sarcastic shot at the latest Hollywood film “Olympus Has Fallen.” It was posted on a Korean language website carrying news and information from Pyongyang.

“On Sunday (April 7, 2013), Col. Amy Hannah, a U.S. Forces Korea spokesperson, said that Gen. James Thurman, the commander of U.S. and U.N. forces in South Korea, WOULD NOT be traveling to Washington this week for previously scheduled congressional budget hearings” obviously because of HEIGHTENED TENSIONS ON THE KOREAN PENINSULA.

In the statement, Hannah said: “Given the current situation, General Thurman will REMAIN IN Seoul next week as A PRUDENT MEASUREor out of AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION. “He has asked the Senate Armed Services Committee (for permission)”.

“The statement says that Thurman had asked three congressional committees to “to excuse his absence until he can testify at a later date. He looks forward to appearing before the committee at THE EARLIEST possible date”. REALLY? Then this will be the latest CIRCUS.

To “avoid MISPERCEPTION or MANIPULATION (?) ” by North Koreans, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has delayed a Minuteman 3 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test scheduled for Tuesday at Vandenberg AFB in California”. There are MANY “misperceptions” in POLITICS and NORTH KOREA ALWAYS “manipulates”. “manipulation” is a fundamental characteristic of NORTH KOREA.

“The test has been long planned “and thus UNCONNECTED (?) from the recent tensions with North Korea”, an official told ABC News“. A MISSILE TEST “unconnected with North Korea?” REALLY? “We recognized that an ICBM test at this time MIGHT BE MISCONSTRUED by some as suggesting that we were intending to EXACERBATE (make worse) the current crisis with North Korea” which, of course, NO ONE WANTS TO DO.  “We wanted to AVOID that MISPERCEPTION or  (?)” We are committed to testing our ICBMs to ensure a SAFE, SECURE (?), effective nuclear arsenal. The test is being rescheduled, likely next month (May, 2013)”ICBMs “ensure” CONFRONTATION.

Finally, “Although China did not directly address North Korea, President Xi Jinping pledged his country will continue to “PROPERLY HANDLE differences and FRICTIONS” with Asian nations”. “during a keynote speech at the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) in Hainan, China”, Xi said: “Countries, whether BIG or smallSTRONG or weakRICH  or poor, should all contribute their share in MAINTAINING AND ENHANCING PEACE“, just like China ISN’T doing as far as the SENKAKU Islands dispute is concerned.

To conclude, let’s return once again to the title: “SKorea Prepares for POSSIBLE NKorea Missile Test Launch. This is alarming not only for South Korea. THE WHOLE WORLD SHOULD BE ON EDGE.
