The title of a recently released MSNBC article is “MOOD SHIFTS as Nelson Mandela remains in (a) South Africa hospital” (Web-site/URL: http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/06/10/.UbakPzDwMfw.twitter).
According to Thembeni Sibeko, “who works as a greeter at Regina Mundi, a Catholic church where opponents of the apartheid regime gathered”, “We still love him so much, BUT IT IS DIFFICULT“ to accept that Mandela WILL SOON BE LEAVING US. ”IT IS SO PAINFUL to see an old man(be in) pain every day“ obviously.
“Officials described the 94-year-old’s condition as “SERIOUS, but stable” when he was brought to hospital on Saturday (June 8, 2013). That marked the FIRST time the term “SERIOUS” had been used despite Mandela’s numerous health scares”. “serious” is our first indication that Mandela’s health is DETERIORATING.
“A long-time comrade of Mandela’s, who was fellow inmate on Robben Island, was quoted Sunday (June 9, 2013) as calling on family members to LET HIM GO“.
Andrew Mlangeni told the Sunday Times newspaper, “We wish Madiba (Mandela’s South African name) a speedy recovery, but I think what is important is that his family MUST RELEASE HIM. You [Madiba] have been coming to the hospital TOO MANY times. Quite clearly, you are not well and there is a possibility YOU MIGHT NOT BE WELL AGAIN“, as much everyone HATES admitting this. ”THE FAMILY MUST RELEASE HIM so that God may have his own way.THEY MUST RELEASE HIM and put their faith in the hands of God. Once the family RELEASES him, the people of South Africa will follow. We will say thank you, God, you have given us this man and WE WILL RELEASE HIM TO YOU”. This is the second indication that MANDELA’S DAYS ARE NUMBERED.
“The Star newspaper reported Monday that three unnamed government sources had called Mandela’s condition “SCARY”. This is the third indication that MANDELA’S DAYS ARE NUMBERED.
According to “an official government statement released on Monday (June 10 2013)”, “President Jacob Zuma reiterates his call for South Africato PRAY FOR Madiba and the family during this time”, “this” EXTREMELY CHALLENGING “time”. THIS IS THE ONLY THING WE CAN DO RIGHT NOW.
“Indeed, Pauline Mafereka said she prayed that Mandela would live to see his 100th birthday”. ”I WISH for him that he reaches 100 years (of age). But I think five years is TOO LONG“ UNFORTUNATELY. We must have REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgnAY_eXYbI).
Finally, “Salomon Buthelezi, 33, a photographer in Soweto who said he KNEW (?) Mandela as a child, (also) wished the democracy icon a speedy recovery”. “My wish is that HE GET HEALTHY , of course. But if it is God’s will, (then) he should go“, as sad as that would be, but IF this indeed goodbye to Nelson Mandela, as the late ABC News anchor PETER JENNINGS would say, “He knew he had lived a good life” or “he”SHOULD “know” this (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDpgpiazXYs).
So, despite our HOPE that Mandela will be OK and that he recovers, we must be prepared for the VERY REAL possibility that he WON’T live much longer, given that he is already 94.
