The title of a recently released Yahoo! article is “CONSERVATIVE group endorses Kansas challenger” (Web-site/URL: http://news.yahoo.com/conservative-group-endorses-kansas-challenger-085949362–election.html?soc_src=mediacontentstory). “conservative group” of course = TEA PARTY.
“A HARD-right conservative group led by former Kansas Rep. Jim Ryun is endorsing a Republican who is trying to oust three-term GOP Sen. Pat Roberts”. Again the “hard right” party is THE TEA PARTY and again this means TROUBLE & ANTICS. Ryun was a member of the House from 1996-2007 (Web-site/URL:
“The Madison Project said Thursday (December 19 2013) that it was backing Dr. Milton Wolf over Roberts, the blunt-spoken conservative who was elected to the Senate in 1996 after EIGHT terms in the House and has never gotten less than 60 percent of the vote in his heartland state. The organization, which has backed challengers to Republican incumbents in Kentucky and Mississippi, said Wolf will provide the necessary LEADERSHIP (?)” THE TEA PARTY “(provides) leadership?”
In a statement, Ryun said: “EVEN THOUGH HE HAS NEVER HELD PUBLIC OFFICE, Dr. Wolf has EXHIBITED A COMMAND OF THE ISSUES and A DEDICATION TO CONSERVATIVE VALUES that is lacking among most individuals in Washington. Sen. Roberts has served admirably for a number of decades, but if we ever hope to rebuild the Senate majority on a solid conservative foundation, we need FEWER CAREER POLITICIANS and more citizen leaders like Milton Wolf”. So, the Tea Party is criticizing “career politicians” as Wolf hopes to become THE NEXT “career politician”. THIS IS HYPOCRITICAL.
Finally, “The Madison Project faulted Roberts for backing Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, a former governor of Kansas, during her confirmation (hearing) in 2009. In October (2013), Roberts called on Sebelius to resign, citing “GROSS INCOMPETENCE” over the troubled rollout of the health care law”. It’s as if NO Republicans are “grossly incompetent” making this the latest/yet another example of “We think they made us mad; they think we made them mad and here we go” (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgnAY_eXYbI).
So, once again, the Tea Party is going after LONG-TERM INCUMBENTS. This is a recurring theme from the 2010 mid-term elections more specifically the 2010 HOUSE elections where DEMOCRATS lost A STAGGERING 63 seats (Web-site/URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections,_2010). Pat Roberts is in that category, having been in the Senate since ’97 and in the House for 16 years before that, from ’81 to ’97 (Web-site/URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Roberts).
