The title of a recently released Fox News article is “Doctor says former F1 champion Michael Schumacher is ‘FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE‘” (Web-site/URL: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/12/30/doctor-says-former-f1-champion-michael-schumacher-is-fighting-for-his-life/).

“Seven-time Formula 1 world champion race car driver Michael Schumacher remained in critical condition and was “FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE” Monday (December 30, 2013) after suffering head injuries in a skiing accident in France”

“Chief anesthesiologist Jean-Francois Payen told reporters Monday (December 30 2013) that the seven-time champion is still in a medically-induced coma and said “We CANNOT tell you what the outcome will be yetHe is in a CRITICAL state in terms of cerebral resuscitation“. Even those of us with little or no medical knowledge know that “critical state” IS NOT good. “We are working HOUR BY HOUR“, which is something we MUST do.

“In an email to The Associated Press, Schumacher’s manager Sabine Kehm said the retired driver was on a private skiing trip and “FELL ON HIS HEAD” which implies at the very least that Michael Schumaker has A SEVERE CONCUSSION. “We ask for UNDERSTANDING that we cannot give running updates on his condition. He WORE A HELMET and WAS NOT alone“. “understanding” or EMPATHY of course, as we know, is in EXTREMELY short supply these days (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgnAY_eXYbI). “The family IS NOT doing very well obviously. They are SHOCKED” AS EXPECTED (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgnAY_eXYbI).

“Ferrari, which Schumacher raced for, expressed its CONCERN in a statement”. “Everyone at Ferrari has been in a state of anxiety since hearing about Michael Schumacher’s accident“, “adding that company president, Luca di Montezemolo and race team leader, Stefano Domenicali, were in contact with the family”.

WE SHOULD ALL BE DEEPLY “concerned” for the health and well-being of Michael SchumakerA RACING LEGEND. Reading/Hearing/Learning that someone is “fighting for his (her) life” IS NEVER A GOOD FEELING/THING.
