The title of a recently released CNN article is “Family of American held in North Korea ’APPALLED‘ by Dennis Rodman’s outburst” (Web-site/URL:

“Eccentric basketball star Dennis Rodman’s bizarre outburst about an American citizen jailed in North Korea has drawn widespread criticism, including from the prisoner’s family”. There are TWO things to note right off the batFirst eccentric means STRANGE/UNUSUAL or ODD BEHAVIOR (Web-site/URL: On top of thisas we know, Rodman is a CELEBRITY so “bizzare outbursts” from him should be EXPECTED (Web-site/URL: at least SHOULDN’T be a surprise.

“Rodman is in North Korea with other former NBA players for a basketball game against a local team that’s due to take place Wednesday (January 8, 2014), the birthday of the country’s leader Kim Jong Un” who is SUPPOSEDLY 31.

“Rodman52, who visited North Korea THREE times previously in the past year, describes Kim as a beloved friend”. Well, Kim Jong-un certainly ISN’T “loved” by many or ANYONE OUTSIDE HIS CIRCLEAs we know Kim Jong-un is A TYRANT.

“During an exclusive interview from Pyongyang on Tuesday (January 7, 2014), he REACTED ANGRILY to a question from Chris Cuomo of CNN‘s “New Day” about whether he was planning to ask North Korean leaders about Kenneth Bae, a U.S. citizen who was sentenced to 15 years in a labor camp by North Korea last year (2012) on charges he intended to TOPPLE THE GOVERNMENT“. There are THREE things to note here.FirstBae was first prosecuted in North Korea on NOVEMBER 3, 2012 and was “sentenced to 15 years of hard labor” on APRIL 30, 2013 (Web-site/URL: We also must note that “hard labor” in NORTH KOREA REALLY IS “hard labor”.  On top of this, is “(toppling) the (NORTH KOREAN) government” SO BAD?

“Rodman suggested that Bae, a Korean-American whose health has deteriorated during his imprisonment, had done something wrong, but did not specify what”.

Rodman asked CNN‘s Chris Cuomo: DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT HE DID IN THIS COUNTRY? “NONONOyou tell meyou tell meWhy is he held captive here in this country, why?”

“Before abruptly switching topic to talk about how his fellow basketball players had left their families behind to come to North Korea for the exhibition game”, Rodman continued: ”I would love to speak on this“.

“Bae’s sister, Terri Chung, told Anderson Cooper 360 that Rodman’s comments were SHOCKING and OUTRAGEOUS“ OF COURSE.

“Chung said Tuesday (January 7, 2014) she was upset because Rodman DIDN’T use his relationship with Kim to help gain her brother’s release from the hospital”. “He was in a position to DO SOME GOOD (?) and to HELP ADVOCATE FOR (?) KennethHe REFUSED to do soBut then instead he has chosen to HURL THESE RIDICULOUS ACCUSATIONS against KennethHe clearly DOESN’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT Kenneth (or) about his case. And so we were APPALLED by thatand JUSTIFIABLY SORodman is doing neither “good” NOR “(helping) advocate for Kenneth”Instead, Rodman seems to be “(advocating) for” KIM JONG-UNwhich again DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSEKim Jong-Un DOESN’T need anyone to advocate for him.

“She said her brother was in North Korea legally working as a tour operator when he was arrested in November2012. She said she hoped one of the former basketball players would take a chance to ask for amnesty for him”. As DANGEROUS as North Korea iswhy would anyone work as a TOUR OPERATOR there?   ”This ISN’T some game“ obviously. “This is about A PERSON’S LIFE“. In countries such as NORTH KOREA and CHINAONE PERSON‘s “life” means NOTHING.

”Bill Richardson, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, also criticized Rodman’s comments, telling CNN he was “DISAPPOINTED” by the former NBA star’s performance”. Richardson should be OUTRAGED.

More specifically, Richardson, “who worked to secure the release of an American held in North Korea in 1996″, said. “I think Dennis Rodman CROSSED A LINE this morning (January 7 2014)  by implying that Kenneth Bae might be guiltyby suggesting that THERE WAS A CRIME“. Dennis Rodman crossed a” RED “line”.  THERE IS NO CRIMEKenneth Bae is an American detainee that’s been there (for) a year in bad healthwho DESERVES TO COME HOME“. NORTH KOREA thinks the rest of the world “deserves” PUNISHMENT/BRUTAL TREATMENT.

“Richardson, a former New Mexico governor who has visited North Korea multiple times, said Rodman “drank a little bit too much of the KOOL-AID (?) from the North Koreans”This “Kool-aid” must have been SPIKED WITH HALLUCINOGENS because what Rodman is saying just DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE.

“Rodman’s comments Tuesday (January 7, 2014) contrast with a request he made on Twitter in May (2013) for Kim to “ DO ME A SOLID FAVOR and CUT Kenneth Bae LOOSE“. THIS SHOULD BE Rodman’s positionNOT the garbage that’s spewing out of his mouth right now.

“Rodman STRUCK UP A FRIENDSHIP WITH (?) Kim last February (2013), when he first traveled to North Korea with a team of Harlem Globetrotters for an exhibition game that was watched by Kim, who is a basketball fan.

“He has described his series of trips to North Korea as a “BASKETBALL (?) diplomacy” project”.

“But U.S. government officials have said that THEY HAVE NOTHING TO WITH THE VISITS (obviously) and that attention should be focused on the BRUTALITY of Kim’s regime”.

“White House spokesman Jay Carney noted that Rodman is on a private trip and that the United States has called for North Korea to release Bae”If history is any reminderthis is EXTREMELY UNLIKELY.  ”Our views about Kenneth Bae HAVE NOT CHANGEDI did not see some of the comments that Mr. Rodman madebut I am not going to dignify THAT OUTBURST with a response“. “that outburst” DID NOT/WILL NOT make Rodman seem smart. ”I am simply going to say that WE REMAIN GRAVELY CONCERNED about Kenneth Bae’s health and continue to urge the DPRK authorities to grant his amnesty and immediate release on HUMANITARIAN (?) grounds“. It seems like “humanity” in NORTH KOREA is now COMPLETELY GONE.

“In the interview with CuomoRodman defended the visit to North Korea, saying it was a “GREAT (?) idea for the world“. So it’s “a great idea” to engage with someone with no EMPATHY (Web-site/URL:

“In a reference to Kim”Rodman said: “I LOVE MY FRIENDTHIS IS MY FRIEND“. This sounds like something straight out of a scene from DAYS OF OUR LIVES with EJ SAMI & STEFANO: “He (Stefano) can be INCREDIBLY charming to your faceIt’s when YOU TURN YOUR BACK that you have to watch out“ (Web-site/URL: In this particular context, Kim Jong-un only APPEARS to be nice or is nice only on a SUPERFICIAL level/in a SUPERFICIAL way.

“He praised his companions’ willingness to visit North Korea”. ”You know, you’ve got 10 guys here10 guys here, that have LEFT THEIR DAMN FAMILIESTHEY’VE LEFT THEIR FAMILIES, to help this country in a sports ventureThat’s 10 guys, all these guys heredo anyone understand that?” IF North Korea was such a friendly (?) place, “guys that have left their…families” WOULDN’T be a big deal, would it?

Cuomo replied:: “We doAnd we appreciate that and we wish them well with cultural exchange“.

Rodman SHOT BACK: “Nonono. I DON’T GIVE A RAT’S ASS what the hell you thinkI’m saying to youlook at these guys herelook at them … THEY DARED TO DO ONE THINGthey came here“ to North KoreaOn top of this, once again, “I don’t give a rat’s ass what the hell you think” is yet another/our latest example of a celebrity’s ARROGANCE (Web-site/URL:

“After Rodman’s outburst, fellow player Charles D. Smith tried to calm the discussion, but Rodman carried on” AS EXPECTED (Web-site/URL: “He told Cuomo”: YOU’re the guy behind the mic right nowWe’re the guys here doing one thingWe have to go back to America and TAKE THE ABUSEDO YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE ABUSEWellWE’RE GOING TO TAKE IT“. If Rodman thinks JOURNALISTS DON’T “take…abuse”he is SERIOUSLY misguided.

“Rodman predicted his efforts and those of his fellow athletes would eventually “OPEN THE DOOR (?)” to North Koreans” while North Korea DOESN’T want to “open the door” to ANYONE ELSETHAT DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE..

“Smith pointed out that the group comprised not only ex-players, but some 40 other people, including a number of other Americans”.

“Smith DEFENDED Rodman, saying the players’ visit was (STRICTLY) about BASKETBALLNOT POLITICS“. “We just hope the results are positive and we think that they’ll be positive”This is what SMITH & RODMAN BELIEVE (Web-site/URL: So SMITH is DEFENSIVE (Web-site/URL: and he has also been BRAINWASHED BY Rodman.

“North Korea had invited the American players as a kind of “CULTURAL EXCHANGE (?)” and to “PUT SMILIES ON PEOPLE’S FACES (?)”NOT to influence the country’s leaders“. There are THREE things to note here. First, is ”cultural exchange” possible in NORTH KOREA? They AREN’T open to other “cultures”Secondlythere WON’T be “smiles on people’s faces” in North Korea UNTIL THE KIM REGIME IS GONE or EXTINCTThis, of course, WON’T happen because KIM IL-SUNG passed the leadership to KIM JONG-IL and power was then TAKEN BY KIM JONG-UN who will then pass it on to HIS SON… We are here because it’s about doing GREAT (?) will around the world“. As we know, NORTH KOREA only does EVIL “will around the world”

“Smith outlined the charity projects he has been involved in worldwide through his sport, including visiting typhoon victims in Asia”. ”We’re doing what we dowe PLAY BASKETBALL and THAT’S WHAT WE LOVE TO DO“, but again in NORTH KOREAWe DID NOT KNOW that it was going to take this type of a negative spin on what we were doing because we’re NOT politicianswe’re NOT ambassadorsWe’re here to do what we’ve been doing most of our lives (PLAY BASKETBALL)”.

“Smith apologized for “THE STORM that has been created by our presence“. NO ONE SHOULD BE SURPRISED that DENNIS RODMAN‘s friendship with KIM JONG-UN of all people, has “(created a) storm”.   “But…”We’re NOT apologizing for doing what we do … we’re connecting people to basketball and people to people“.

“He cautioned against “playing semantics” when discussing Rodman’s use of the word “friend” in describing his relationship with Kim”.”It’s an ASSOCIATE“ who may or may NOT be a “friend”OK but should we be an “associate” of NORTH KOREAN DICTATOR KIM JONG-UN?  You met someone once and it’s your FRIEND … you can’t meet someone once or twice and take that enduring step“. Rodman and Smith have a VERY STRANGE definition of “friend”Generallyit takes SEVERAL “meetings” before we have adequate information to decide whether or not someone is a “friend”.

“Smith added that the players were interested only in using basketball as a bridge to cultural exchange”. “None of these guys are here to TALK ANY SENSE INTO any politician“. Of courseas we knowIT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO “talk any sense into” A DICTATOR

“The NBA distanced itself Tuesday (January 7 2014) from Rodman”THIS IS THE LEGIT THING TO DO.

In “The Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer, outgoing NBA Commissioner David Stern said: ”Dennis will be Dennisbut I think there is a lot at stake here in terms of a … a very DANGEROUS country“. North Korea IS INDEED “a very dangerous country”

“Stern, commissioner for nearly 30 years, said the league has had preliminary discussions in the past with Pyongyang about a cultural exchange but he wouldn’t send any players to North Korea without the OK of the White House”This is reasonable because many people from the CIVILIZED world have gone to North Korea & DIDN’T MAKE IT HOME TO THEIR FAMILIESThese people should be HOME WITH THEIR FAMILIES, NOT IN A COUNTRY THAT DOESN’T CARE ABOUT ANYONE.

“Stern said he believed that these former players agreed to the game FOR A BIG PAYDAY and DIDN’T think about the political ramificationsobviously/AS EXPECTED (Web-site/URL: CELEBRITIES ALWAYS think about “a big payday”. In factthat’s often THE ONLY thing they think about

Finally, “He (Stern) said that the league (NBA) DIDN’T sanction the trip or collaborate with Rodman’s group”. “”Sports diplomacy is a WONDERFUL thing“, “mentioning that the NBA has hosted teams from CHINA and IRANChina and Iran are FAR CRIES FROM friendly societies. ”But they should be done IN A FAR MORE DIGNIFIED FASHION than this particular trip is being carried out“. “dignity” in CHINA and IRAN are in short supply and DOES NOT EXIST in NORTH KOREA.

To conclude, Kenneth Bae’s family is JUSTIFIABLY “appalled”It seems like Dennis Rodman is DEFENDING KIM JONG-UN which is RIDICULOUSNO ONE defends NORTH KOREA…except maybe CHINANO ONE should defend North Korea. NO ONE should defend A BRUTAL DICTATORSo, this is the latest chapter of DENNIS RODMAN‘s ANTICS.
