SYRIA Peace Talks: Al-Jazeera

The title of a recently released Al-Jazeera article is “Assad’s future takes center stage at peace talks” (Web-site/URL: http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2014/1/22/assad-s-future-takescenterstageatmontreuxtalks.html).

“Talks in Switzerland AIMED AT carving a path OUT of Syria’s civil war got off to a ROCKY start Wednesday (January 22 2014) as A BITTER CLASH over President Bashar al-Assad’s future threatened to COLLAPSE THE NEGOTIATIONS (?)” There are FOUR things to note here. First, notice “aimed at carving a path OUT of Syria’s civil war?” IS THERE “a path out?” Secondly this is EXTREMELY “rocky”Thirdly this is the latest “bitter clash” which we DON’T need any more of. On top of this does BASHAR AL-ASSAD “negotiate?

INFORMATION Minister Omran al-Zoubi told reporters”: “There will be NO transfer of power and President Bashar Assad is STAYING“. That’s EMPHATIC but EXPECTED (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgnAY_eXYbI) because again “Information Ministers” merely SPIT OUT PROPAGANDA.

“Ahmad al-Jarba of the western-backed Syrian National Council (SNC) had wavered up to the last minute on whether to attend the peace talks, which have largely been opposed by rebel brigades in Syria. He said any discussion of Assad’s continued hold on power would effectively end the talks”.

“A transitional government “is THE ONLY topic for us” and again this IS NOT happening anytime soon.

“US Secretary of State John Kerry echoed the SNC’s calls: “There is no way — no way possible in the imagination — that the man who has led the BRUTAL response to his own people could regain the legitimacy to govern. One man and those who have supported him can NO LONGER an entire nation and a region (the Middle East) HOSTAGE“. This is OBAMA-like rhetoric. “We really need to deal with REALITY“, which POLITICIANS have A LOT OF difficulty “(dealing) with”.

“Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem insisted that no one except Syrians could remove Assad. He ACCUSED the West and neighboring countries of funneling money, weapons and foreign fighters to the rebellion”. “accused” is yet another/the latest example of BLAMING & CRITICIZING (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-AJviZ8Itk). “The West claims to FIGHT TERRORISM while they FEED IT SECRETLY. Syrians here in this hall participated in all that has happened. They (THE WEST) IMPLEMENTED (and) FACILITATED the bloodshed and all at the expense of the Syrian people THEY CLAIM to represent“.

COMPLEMENTING matters, both Assad’s delegates and the SNC CLAIMED TO speak for the Syrian people”IT’S NOT as if we need anything else to be “complicated”.

“But Lakhdar Brahimi, the U.N.–Arab League envoy for Syria, signaled that both sides were ready to MOVE BEYOND (?) rhetoric“. “He told a news conference”:  “We have had some FAIRLY clear indications that the parties are willing to discuss issues of access to needy people, THE LIBERATION OF (?) prisoners and local cease-fires“. ARE the Syrian people being “liberated?”

“The president of Iran, a key Assad ALLY INVITED and then DISINVITED by U.N. chief Ban Ki-Moon, said Wednesday (January 22, 2014) that he DOESN’T believe the talks will succeed“. “Considering ALL (?) signs, I DON’T have much hope that this meeting can succeed in FIGHTING TERRORISM, because some countries SPONSORING TERRORISM are taking part“. It sounds like Rouhani DOESN’T WANT “the talks (to) succeed”. Perhaps he’s still under the influence of the tyrant/lunatic MAHMOUD AHMEDINEJAD?

Finally, “Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal, whose government has funneled millions to the rebels, said”, “It goes without saying that Assad HAS NO ROLE  in Syria’s future“. He also called on foreign forces, including the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah militias, to withdraw from Syria”. The irony here is that the United States is counting on an UNDEMOCRATIC country to get rid of a DICTATOR.

To concludelet’s return to the title: “Assad’s future takes center stage at peace talks”Againit’s clear that Assad ISN’T GOING ANYWHERE. He is FIRMLY ENTRENCHED as Syrian dictator.
